Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Wax Sealer Canning Jar made by "T. F. Reppert, Successor to J. Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, Penn." 
 
Thomas Reppert made pottery in Greensboro from 1884-1890.  He purchased the company from James Hamilton and used the fame of Hamilton to market his wares in an era of declining demand (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 157-159).
 
This beauty features the Company Advertising in a Patriotic Shield with Florals Flanking the Bottom Corners and the Company Address Below. Complete stencil in dark cobalt.  Stands 10 1/4" tall. 
 
Good Condition.  A virtually invisible 3" vertical line on the bottom of the left side that wraps under 2" (closeup 1), a more visible similar line of the same dimensions on the right side at the bottom (closeup 2), and a couple small stains.  No rim or base chips or restoration.
