Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Tanware Jug that reads, "S. T. Suit, Suitland, MD. Little Brown Jug. The whiskey in this jug was made 1869 and jugged by me 1879."


This jug was made in New Geneva, Pennsylvania, known for its Tanware production.


This beauty features 7 Lines of Stenciled Advertising. All the lettering is crisp.  This is a little jug standing only 6 5/8" tall. 


Excellent Condition. Four tiny pinhead-size nibbles on the raised center ridge on the middle of the handle.  That's it! No spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Exceedingly clean example.
