• Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Canning Jar made for the "Los Angeles Olive Growers Association, Los Angeles, California."

As the lid indicates, it was made by the Weir Pottery of Monmouth, Illinois. It reads, "The Weir, Pat. Mar 1st '92, April 16th 1901." The Weir Company was in operation from 1899 to 1905.

This beauty features the Company Name and Address Surrounding a Branch Dripping with Olives.  The stencil on these jars is weak, but this one has a complete and strong stencil. Measures 8 1/2" tall to the top of the lid.

Excellent Condition.  The base has a narrow chip on the front edge (closeup).  That is all.  The lid is mint.   The metal enclosure is original.
