Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Jar easily attributed to Beaver, Pennsylvania.
I suspect it was made by Enoch Fowler who worked in Beaver on the corner of Washington and State Streets during the 1850's to the 1880's (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp 134-35).
Dating about 1870, this beauty features a Two Large Brushed Leaves in Bright Cobalt. Stands 9 1/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. Three shallow 1/4" chips on the base. That's it! No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
