Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Jar with 3 Tulips.
This beauty is easy to attribute to Richard Remmey who ran the family pottery in Philadelphia from the 1860's until the turn of the century (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 8-10).
Dating to the 1860's, this beauty features a Carefully Tooled Rim, and Three Tulips Chasing Each Other Around the Middle. Each tulip has 5 leaves and a blossom with 5 petals. Strong cobalt for a robust contrast. Stands 8 3/4" tall.
