Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Wonderful 2 Gallon Cream Pot attributed to Schoick & Dunn, Middletown Point, N.J."


This is the work of Josiah Van Schoick and Ezra Dunn who began potting in the old Abiel Price pottery in 1853 and worked together until 1869 when William Dunlap joined them (M Lelyn Branin, The Early Makers of Handcrafted Earthenware and Stoneware in Central and Southern New Jersey, pp. 216-219).


This beauty features a Squatty Cream Pot Form, Freehand Capacity Number, and a Delicate Double Tulip that was a Trademark of this Pottery.  Honey-colored glaze.  Measures 8 3/4" tall and 10 1/4" wide across the top.  


Excellent Condition.  Two very flat 1/4" flakes on the top of the rim.  That's it!  No bottom chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
