    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and stamped by the "Somerset Potters Works."


    This pottery was located in Somerset, Massachusetts and operated by Leonard and Benjamin G. Chace from 1847-1882 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 51).


    This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Leafy Plant with its Bulb, Two Leaves, and a Center Leaf About to Unfold.   All the decoration was executed with a slip cup in strong cobalt.   Measures 8 3/4" tall and 10 1/4" wide across the top.


    Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
