Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Little 1 1/2 Gallon Bowl made and stamped by "Sipe, Nichols & Co., Williamsport, Pa."
This is the stamp of William Sipe, Joe Nichols, and Abram Young who ran the pottery on Market Street from 1875-1879 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 62-63).
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Brushed Cobalt Steeple Flower with Five Leaves and an Elaborate Blossom with 9 Oval Sections. Measures 5 3/4" tall and 11 1/2" wide across the top.
Very Good Condition. Some knife marks inside, and a 3/4" chip and stain run on the left side. That's it! No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
