Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 10" Stoneware Jar made and stamped "RCR Phila"


This is the work of Richard C. Remmey ran the family pottery in Philadelphia from the 1860's until the turn of the century (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 8-10).


Circa 1870, this beauty features a very desirable Garland of Comma Vining Repeated in Six Groupings Around the Shoulder. Stands 10" tall.


Excellent Condition. A 6" surface-only craze line on and to the left of the pottery stamp (closeup). That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
