    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Jar made and stamped by "S. Routson, Wooster, O."


    This is the work of Samuel Routson who worked in Wooster, Ohio in the latter 19th Century.  See F. Robert Treichler, A History of Northwest Ohio Stoneware, pp. 109-110).


    This beauty features a Jar Form with Inner Rim for a Stopper, and the Pottery Stamp Deeply Impressed on the Shoulder.  Stands 8 3/4" tall.


    Excellent Condition.  A single 3/16" nibble on the rim.  That's it!  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
