Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Preserve Jar made and stamped by "S. T. Brewer, Havana."
This is the work of Stephen T. Brewer who potted in Havana from 1853-1859 (Allen Sweet, The Stoneware of Havana, N.Y. and Its Makers, pp. 44-51).
This beauty features a strong pottery stamp with cobalt wash and a Gorgeous Folk Art Floral with Two Tulips with Center Dots that Fills the Front of the Crock with Bold and Bright Cobalt. Measures 10 3/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. A flat 1/4" chip inside the top rim. That's it! No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Slightly convex on the bottom in the making.
