Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Jug made for "S. J. Freeman, Pittston, Pa."


Based on signed examples, this jug is attributed to James Ryan who made stoneware in Pittston from 1891-1911 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 35-37). 


This beauty features Two Lines of Stenciled Advertising. Stands 9" tall.


Very Good Condition.  A 1" chip on the top and a 1/4" chip on the left side of the spout, and a 1/4" chip on the base.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
