Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare Stoneware Potty from Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Dating around 1870, this beauty is features a Rounded Rim, Slightly Rounded Sides, Handle, and Three Blue Stripes that Frame Comma Vining on the Front. Measures 6" tall and 9" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. A 1/2" chip on the underside. That's it! No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Three 2" surface only firing lines in the making- 1 inside from the rim and two outside from the base.
This is only the second example of a potty in blue decorated salt glaze from SW PA that I have ever seen. Very rare form.
