Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare Miniature Stoneware Jug Initialed "J. T."
The quality of the cobalt and color of the clay indicates that this is a work of Nicholas White and his sons, William and Charles, who ran the family pottery from 1865-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 69-70).
This beauty Features Profuse Use of Cobalt on the Spout, Handle, and Center Stripe that Frame "J. T.". The jug is only 3 3/8" tall!
I have never seen a smaller piece of decorated Whites Pottery.
