Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare 4 7/8" Jar made for "Down on the Farm, Creamocereal, C. W. Rodefer Co., Shadyside, Ohio."


Dating around 1900 to 1920, this beauty features a Grooved Rim, Shoulder Framed by Notched Borders, Four LInes of Blue Stenciled Advertising, and What Appears to be the Original Lid.  Stands only 4 7/8" tall.


Good Condition.  A 1/8" nibble on the seating ring inside, and a drilled hole below the advertising.  No rim or base chips, hairliines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  The lid has a single 1/8" nibble on the underside at the edge. 


This jar comes from an old Ohio collection and I can see why they kept it in spite of damage and why I had to buy it-- It is RARE.  I have never seen another one.
