Item 4200
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this rare 6" Stovepipe Wax Sealer Canning Jar.
It was made around 1870-1800 in southwestern Pennsylvania, and probably by Hamilton and Jones as indicated by the roses.
This beauty features the coveted 6" Size, Wax Sealer Top, and a Two Crossed Rose Stems with Three Leaves and Two Blossoms.
I have only ever seen one other of these (and this might be the same one that I sold years ago).
Exceptional Condition. As made. No damage of any kind. Two surperficial drying lines at the bottom in the making and glazed over: 1" on the front, and 1 1/2" on the back that wraps under 1 1/2".
