• Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 5 Gallon Stoneware Cream Pot made and stamped by "R. W. Russell, Beaver, Pa."


    This is the mark of Ralph Russell who ran the pottery in Beaver Pa. in the 1840's to his death in 1868 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, 143-44).


    This beauty features the Canted Sides of a Cream Pot, the Pottery Stamp, and a Brushed Cobalt Freehand Vine Across the Front. The decoration is nicely placed on the crock and moves from left to right with 12 leaves. Strong cobalt too!  A lot of additional cobalt on the handle terminals, including the entire top of the right handle.  Measures 13 1/4" tall.


    Excellent Condition.  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Mottled glaze in the making.
