Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Jar whose decoration indicates that it was made in Pruntytown, West Virginia.
Dating around 1870, this beauty features a Stripe at the Rim, Three Flowers with Three Petals Each, and a Freehand Capacity Number Framed by Squiggle Lines. This design was used in Pruntytown, sometimes with the flower having two petals. Stands 12 1/2" tall.
Very Good Condition. An amateur restoration for a chip on the overhanging rim, 2" on either side of the pen (closeup 1). Otherwise as made. Surface drying line inside in the making (closeup 2).
