• Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this spectacular 2 Gallon Pitcher with Bird on a Branch Decoration.

The decoration indicates that this beauty was made in Poughkeepsie, New York by either Adam Caire or Riedinger and Caire (1857-1896) (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 65).

This beauty features a Large 2 Gallon Size with Short, Bulbous Body, Squared rim, Pinched Spout, and Bold Bird on a Dotted Branch Decoration.  The cobalt is very strong and shiny just like we like it.  In fact, the entire glaze is shiny.  Measures 11 3/4" tall.

As you know, 2 gallon pitchers with bird decoration are very hard to find.

Exceptional Condition.  A single light, circular stain to the left of the bird's tail. That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  Exceptionally clean and beautiful.
