    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Porter & Fraser, West Troy, N.Y."   


    This piece is the work of Nathan Porter and George Fraser who made pottery together in West Troy (modern Watervliet) from 1846 to 1863 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 68).  


    This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Triple Floral with Curvy Leaves and Petals.  Stands 11 1/4" tall.


    Excellent Condition.  A couple small chips in the upper flower (1/8", 1/4"), and a small chip on the back bottom (3/8").  That's it!  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Exceptionally clean glaze.
