    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Porter & Fraser, West Troy, N.Y."


    This is the work of Nathan Porter and George Fraser who worked together in West Troy from 1846 to 1863 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 68).


    This beauty features the Pottery Stamp and a Gorgeous Double Floral Created with a Slip Cup.  The floral has a multitude of narrow leaves and two main stems that support fanciful blossoms.  Bright and shiny cobalt throughout!  Stands 13 1/4" tall.


    Excellent Condition.  A minor 1/4" chip on the bottom edge.  That's it!  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A 1 1/2" firing line on the bottom of the left side in the making and glazed over (closeup).
