Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 4 Gallon Churn made and stamped by the "Ottman Bro's & Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."

This is the stamp of William and Gilbert Ottman who ran the company from 1872-1892 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 68).

This beauty sports the pottery stamp with cobalt wash and a Fancy Freehand Cobalt Floral Bouquet with Lots of Detail and Bright Cobalt.  It was executed by a masterful hand.  Stands 15 1/4" tall.

Excellent Condition.  Six narrow chips on the interior seating ring (1/4" to 1"),  a 1/2" chip inside the rim, a 3" hairline at the base that wraps under 3 1/2" (closeup), and a few faint stains from use.   That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, cracks, or restoration.
