Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and stamped by the "Ottman Bro's & Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."

This is the stamp of William and Gilbert Ottman who ran the company from 1872-1892 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 68).

This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Bluebird on a Branch Decoration.  The cobalt used to create this birdy is bright and shiny!  Measures 9" tall and 9 3/4" wide across the top.

Excellent Condition.  Two narrow 1/2" flakes inside the rim, a 1/2" chip on the left handle in the back, and a couple minor 1/4" scratches to the right of the bird.  That's it!  No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.   A small stone ping on the top of the bird's wing in the making.
