Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fine Blue and Yellow Spongeware Pitcher.
Dating around 1900 and coming from the Southern States, this beauty features a Flared Rim, Pinched Spout, Slight Edge to the Shoulder, Bulbous Body, and Gorgeous Blue Sponging on a Soft Yellow Glaze. Stands 7 1/4" tall.
Very Good Condition. Two contiguous 1/2" chips on the rim back by the handle (closeup). That's it! No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. The last 3/4" of the glaze on the right side at the base has rolled up in the making (bottom picture).
