Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fantastic Yellow Ware Seated Spaniel Doorstop from Ohio.


You can see a similar one in Lisa McAllister, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware, Book 2, p. 90.


Dating around 1860 and probably hailing from East Liverpool, Ohio, this beauty features a Seated Spaniel with Open Front Legs Front and Back, Locket Around its Neck, Hand-tooling to the Feet and Paws, and Gorgeous Flowing Cobalt Glaze-- all on a Tall and Canted 8-Sided Base.  Stands 10" tall, and the base is 8" long and 6" wide.  


Excellent Condition.  Two narrow and minor 1/4" sliver chips on the body- base of the right ear and lower back. That is it!  No head or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.


A very clean and very hard to find piece.
