Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Preserve Jar made and stamped by "N. Clark, Jr., Athens, N.Y."


This is the stamp of Nathan Clark, Jr. of Athens, N.Y. who ran the family pottery from 1843-1891 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 66).


This beauty sports a Preserve Jar Form, Round Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a  Double Brushed Cobalt Tulip Decoration.  The brushed cobalt floral has multiple leaves and two large blossoms.  Stands 11" tall. 


Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" flake on the inner rim where a lid would sit, and a flat 1/2" chip on the left handle.  That's it!  No top rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
