    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "N. Clark, Jr., Athens, N.Y."


    This is the stamp of Nathan Clark, Jr. of Athens, N.Y. who ran the family pottery from 1843-1891 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 66).


    This beauty sports a Squatty and Wide Form, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Gorgeous Double Tulip.  The floral has eight leaves and two blossom with 7 petals each and center dots.  Rich and shiny cobalt too!  Stands 12 3/4" tall. 


    Very Good Condition.  A 1/4" chip on the right edge of the right blossom, two chips at teh base (1/4", 3/8"), and some staining and glaze wear from use.  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
