    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 4 Gallon Salt Glaze Jug.


    Dating around 1880, this jug hails from the Midwest, possibly from Red Wing, Minnesota.  It has comparable shape, spout, decoration, and glaze to jugs from Red Wing.


    This beauty features Salt Glaze, Slightly Canted Sides, and Freehand Capacity Number and Tornado.  Stands 15" tall.


    Excellent Condition. A 1/4" sliver chip on top of the spout, and a 1/2" wide shallow chip on the side of the spout.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Two faint disconnected 3" horizontal firing lines on the right side in the making (closeup).
