Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fancy Yellow Ware Pitcher with Embossed Hunting Scene.


Dating to the mid to late 19th century, this beauty features a Graceful Spout, Bulbous Body, Handle with Thumbgrip, and an Embossed Hunting Scene on Each Side.  This beauty features a Hunter in the Woods with Two Hunting Dogs in the Foreground. Two Game Birds are Laying Below the Dogs and Another Bird and a Rabbit are Hanging to the Right of the Decoration as Part of the Border. A lot of work in the creation of this woodland scene, including a little bird sitting on a branch above it all!  Additional leaves on the front and back seams.  Stands 7 3/4" tall.


Very Good Condition.  A 3/8" chip on the back of the handle thumb grip, two 1/4" flakes on the underside of the footer out of sight, and couple small surface spider lines from age.   No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A 2 1/2" surface firing line along the seam in the front (closeup 1) and a 1/2" surface drying line at the base of the handle (closeup 2): both in the making.
