    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon 2 Gallon Stoneware Jar made and stamped by "McKenzie & Jackson, Beaver, PA."


    This is the stamp of Hamilton McKenzie and Thomas Jackson who made pottery in Beaver in the 1860's and 1870's (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 133-34). 


    This beauty features the Pottery Stamp Framed by the Crossing of Three Tulips. An additional upright tulip appears below and there is also cobalt accent at the handle terminals.  Stands 10 3/4" tall.  


    Very Good Condition.  Three chips on the inner rim (1/8" to 1/2"), and an extremely fine hairline from midway down the left side that wraps under midway across the base.  Only photographs on the bottom of the left side.  No top rim or base chips, stains, or restoration.
