• Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this magnificant 2 Gallon Jug made by "Hamilton & Jones, Greensboro, Green Co., Pa."

This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157).

Dating around 1870, this beauty features Top to Bottom Decoration.  From the top down are five units of freehand vining, a squiggle stripe, the company advertising framed left and right by vertical dashes, a propeller, a squiggle stripe, a freehand capacity number flanked by snowflakes, and a squiggle and straight stripe at the bottom.   Stands 14 1/2" tall.

Excellent Condition.   A 7" surface age line on the left side from the left of the snowflake up to the left of the vining (closeup).  It does not go through (I can see clearly inside).  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.

Impress your friends- put this in the center of your display!
