    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Spongeware Bowl made and stamped on the bottom by the "Macomb Stoneware Co., Macomb, ILL."  


    This company was in business from 1899 to 1906 when it was absorbed into the Western Stoneware Company (Jim Martin and Bette Cooper, Monmouth-Western Stoneware, p. 34)


    This beauty festures Blue and White Sponging that Covers the Sides and Rounds Over the Rim Inside.  Patterned with circles dominating the decoration.   Measures 3 1/2" tall and 11 1/2" wide across the top.


    Very Good Condition. Very minor nibbles and two small chips at the rim (1/8" 1/4"), and some staining inside at the bottom.  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
