Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Pitcher made in and stamped "Lyons."


This is likely the work of Thompson Harrington who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1852 to 1872 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp 73-74).


This beauty features A Tall Neck, Bulbous Body, and Squared Rim.  A leaf and capacity number accent the neck, the pottery stamps resides on the shoulder, and a brushed upright tulip graces the body.  Bold and beautiful cobalt on a clean background.  Stands 10 1/4" tall.


Excellent Condition.  A short hairline at the rim on each side of the spout (closeups), and some chips at the bottom edge on the back.  No rim chips, stains or restoration.
