• Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Cute 1 Gallon Stoneware Preserve Jar made and stamped "Lyons."


    This is likely the work of Thompson Harrington who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1852 to 1872 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp 73-74).


    This beauty features the Pottery Stamp and a Brushed Cobalt Three Leaf Clover Flanked by the Capacity Number.  Strong and shiny cobalt too!  Stands 9 3/8" tall.


    Excellent Condition.  A series of small nibbles and wear around the seating ring inside where a lid sat, a 1/2" chip on the bottom of the right side, and some small and light spots of staining.  No top rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  A kiln touch on the front bottom to the right in the making.
