  • Dating around 1900, is this Blue and White Spongeware Ashtray made by "Locke Porcelain" to advertising its wares.  


    This is the work of Fred Locke, the maker of the first porcelain insultor.  Locke (1861-1930) produced porcelain insultors beginning in 1893.  


    This beauty is Octagonal and Features the Company Name Embossed on the Rim. It is colored in blue and white sponging with a touch of light brown.  Measures 6 1/2" wide.  


    Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
