    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Face or Grotesque Jug made and signed on the bottom by "Lanier Meaders" (1917-1998) of Mossy Creek, Georgia.   He is perhaps the most respected Southern folk potter of our time.

    Dating around 1975, this beauty features a Very Artistic Face with Stone Eyes and Six Stone Teeth.  Attractive variegated green ash glaze.  Stands 9 7/8" tall.


    Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  Glaze skip on the baok at the bottom in the making.
