    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jar that reads, "From J. Littell."  


    This is the work of Johnson Littell, a former tavern owner who made pottery in Greensboro, PA in the 1860's and 1870's.  His output was small and his piece are hard to find (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, p. 158).  


    This beauty features a Tooled Rim and a Diagonal Stencil with Large Letters.  Stands 9 3/4" tall.


    Very Good Condition.  A 2" hairline from the rim in the back (closeup).  Otherwise as made.
