Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this unusual 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped for the merchant "John H. Schreiber, Rondout, New York."

Rondout was a Hudson River town incorported into Kingston, New York in 1872.

Dating around 1880, this beauty features the Impressed Advertising and a Bird on a Branch Decoration.  It is most unusual that the bird is executed in a gray slip and not a cobalt slip!

Excellent Condition.  Two glaze chip inside the spout (1/4", 1/2"). a 3/4" chip on the bottom of the right side, and some glaze wear and staining from use.    No outer spout chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
