Item 4205

Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fabulous 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Wax Sealer Canning Jar made for "John Bergundthal, Pouhatan, Ohio."

The decoration indicates that this jar was made in Southwestern, Pennsylvania, probably at Greensboro.

Dating about 1880, this beauty features the Wax Sealer Form, Company Advertising accented with Doodads, and Two Bumblebees!   It is my understanding that Bergundthal sold honey.  Stands 7 3/4" tall.

Very Good Condition.  Chips inside the rim as shown (1/4" to 3/4").  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
