Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Little Stoneware Custard Cup made and Stamped "Beaumont Pottery, York, Maine" scratched on the bottom with a cross and the date 1985.
This is the work of Jerry Beaumont, a contemporary master potter. In my experience, his work ranks supreme among the contemporary potters and is escalating in value.
This beauty features a Large Custard Cup Form with a Classic Chicken Pecking Corn Decoration seen on late 19th century Vermont and New York Stoneware. The decoration was created with a slip cup in vivid and extra thick cobalt. Exceptionally rich and shiny. Measures 4" tall and 4 1/2" wide across the top.
Exceptional Condition. As made. No damage of any kiind.
