    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Stoneware 1 Gallon Wax Sealer made by "James Hamilton & Co., Manufacturers, Greensboro, Pa."  


    James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 


    Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features the Company Stencil Wrapped in Vining in a Paisley Form.  The stencil is complete.  Stands 9 3/4" tall.  


    Very Good Condition.  A few minor pinhead-size nibbles on the inner rim.  Two small chips near the bottom of the left side (1/8", 3/8"), and a 1 1/2" narrow chip on the underside at the edge (closeup).  No top rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Mottled glaze in the making.
