Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Stoneware 1 Gallon Wax Sealer made by "Jas. Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, Pa."

James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157).

Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features Two Top and One Bottom Stripe that Frame the Company Advertising in Four Lines of Pretty Cobalt.  The light gray clay and the cobalt stencil make for a strong contrast and visual appeal.  Stands 9 1/2" tall.

Excellent Condition.  Wear and small nibbles on the inner rim, and wear and three small chips inside the top rim (1/4" or less).  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Slight indentation on the left side in the making.
