Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Stoneware 1Gallon Wax Sealer made by "Jas. Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, Pa."  
 
James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features the Company Advertising Surrounding a Tobacco Leaf and Surrounded by Vining.  Very strong stencil:  complete, fancy, and in dark cobalt.  Stands 9 3/4" tall.  
 
Very Good Condition.  Eight small nibbles inside the rim (1/8" to 1/4"), a flat 1" chip on the outside of the rim, and a dime-sized stain.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
