Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon Oyster Jar made for "J. W. Lewis, Bangor, Maine.  


Dating around 1880, this beauty features the Oyster Jar Form with Wide Mouth, Salt Glaze, and the Merchant Advertising Washed in Blue.  Stands 6 3/4" tall.


Very Good Condition.  A narrow 1/4" chip on the right side of the rim, and a 3/8" chip at the base.  No inner rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A minor narrow 1/4" chip on top of the rim in the back in the making.
