    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful and uncommon half gallon Wax Sealer Canning Jar made by "J. E. Eneix, New Geneva, PA. "


    This is the mark of James Eneix who made stoneware in New Geneva for the brief period of 1874-1876 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 165).


    This beauty features the Company Name and Address Stencilled Around a Fancy Leaf Garland.  All the decoration is crisp and complete and executed in bold and dark cobalt blue.  Stands 8 1/4" tall.


    Excellent Condition.  A minor 1/4" chip on the underside at the edge.  That's it!  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Some mottling in the glaze in the making. 


    Eneix stoneware is not commonly seen due to the brief period of manufacture.
