    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6" Bail Handled Jug made for the "Hotel Riverside, Gray Mineral Spring."


    William A. Baird purchased the Hotel Riverside in Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania in 1895 and the Gray Mineral Spring in 1900. The mineral water from the spring was used for therapeutic bathing, as well as drinking. It was claimed the water had medicinal properties, and it was sold in bottles and jugs like this one.   


    The jugs were made by the Sherwood Brothers of New Brighton, Pennsylvania


    This beauty features a Two-Toned Glaze, Stenciled Advertising, and a Bail Handle.  Stands 6" to the top of the spout.


    Excellent Condition.  Fine overall glaze crazing of age.  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
