Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderfully early 8 3/4" Decorated Stoneware Jar made and stamped by "H. Myers."
This is the mark of Henry Myers who worked in Baltimore and Philadelphia in the early 19th century (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 5-7).
Circa 1825, this beauty features a Comma Vining Dripping from the Rim in Bold and Shiny Cobalt. Measures 8 3/4" tall.
Very Good Condition. A faint 2" hairline from the rim (closeup), and a 1/4" chip at the bottom. No rim chips, cracks, stains, or restoration. A cobalt run on the back and a 3/4" chip below at the base in the making.
Myer's stoneware is not commonly seen and here is your chance to own one!
