    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Haxstun, Ottman & Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."


    This is the stamp of Andrew K. Haxstun and William and Gilbert Ottman who ran the company from 1867-1872 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 68).


    This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Bluebird on a Branch Decoration.  The birdie is well-executed and sports dark and bright cobalt.  Stands 14 1/4" tall.


    Very Good Condition.  A 1/2" chip on top of the spout, a 1" chip on the underside out if sight, and some chippage with a curvying surface-only line on the right side bottom.  Does not show inside (closeup).  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Slightly convex on the bottom in the making.
