    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Wax Sealer made by "Hamilton & Jones, Greensboro, Pa."  


    This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 


    Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features the Company Advertising Stenciled Across the Top and a Cluster of Cherries Below.  Rare configuration.   Stands 10" tall.


    Fair to Good Condition.  A curving hairline on the left side from the stencil down that wraps under on the bottom 3", and a large chip on the bottom of the right side behind the hairline (closeup).  No stains or restoration. 


    This is a rare jar with a close to perfect one selling last year for $2,500.
