    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Cream Pot made by "Hamilton & Jones, Greensboro, PA."  


    This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 


    Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features Two Top and One Bottom Stripe that frame the Company Advertising in an Arch Covering a Flying Bird.  The capacity number flanked by leaves at the bottom completes the decoration.   Crisp stenciling on a moderate gray clay.  Measures 10 1/2" tall and 9 1/2" wide


    You seldom see any birds in any size on SW Pennsylvania stoneware.


    Excellent Condition.   No damage.  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains. or restoration.
